As most of you are already aware, my approach to Yoga instruction is a little different. In my 12 years of practicing and teaching, as many people as I’ve seen go into Yoga with injuries and come out healed. I’ve seen many more start Yoga perfectly healthy and end up badly injured. I was one of these people.
Through a slow process of education and with the help of some amazing teachers, I now realize that all Yoga injuries are preventable. And in fact if we take PowerYoga out of the realm of sport and performance and approach it intelligently and therapeutically, there is no better tool for treating pain and imbalance in the body.
Best of all through this approach we find the strength, physical freedom and joy that a true yoga practice promises.
I’m calling this approach PowerYogaTherapy, to set it apart and to warn new students who may find it tedious or too informative.
